The upcoming wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant has created a buzz, with speculations swirling about the grand celebrations planned by the Ambani family in Mumbai. And their pre-wedding festivities were as grand an affair as ever, with the festive fervour spread across iconic locations that reflected their heritage and love for travel.

Jamnagar, Gujarat

For the Ambani family, Jamnagar was not just a picturesque location for this grand celebration. Anant Ambani’s grandmother was born in Jamnagar, making it a place of cherished memories and ancestral roots. Additionally, the city holds immense historical significance for the family as it was the birthplace of Reliance Industries, founded by Anant's grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani.

Choosing Jamnagar, therefore, becomes a way of paying homage to the family's legacy and the city that played a pivotal role in their success story. The three-day extravaganza in March 2024 was a vibrant showcase of Indian culture, with themes like "An Evening in Everland" and "Mela Rouge." Guests enjoyed elegant cocktail evenings, traditional ceremonies, and explored Ambani's animal rescue centre, Vantara.

In May 2024, the celebrations set sail on a luxurious cruise liner. For four days, around 800 guests embarked on a picturesque journey from Italy to the South of France. The itinerary offered a delightful mix of onboard galas like the "Starry Night" themed evening and excursions to iconic destinations. The itinerary included a "Roman Holiday" themed day trip in Rome, allowing guests to soak in the city's historic charm and a masquerade ball in Cannes, offering a taste of the French Riviera's vibrant nightlife and Italian joie de vivre, with performances by Katy Perry and Backstreet Boys.

As the final pitstop of the luxury cruise pre-wedding festivities, the enchanting Italian village of Portofino was thrust into the spotlight, when it was booked by the Ambani family for the final celebration titled "La Dolce Vita" (The Sweet Life). The event, which was attended by 1200 people, also saw a performance by legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli, who sang the iconic song ‘Falling in Love with You’ on stage.
