India’s star all-rounder Axar Patel took a dig at his colleague Rishabh Pant, who was displaying his T20 World Cup winners medal on social media. Both Pant and Axar have been instrumental in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign as the all-rounder scored 47 off 31 balls and scalped the big wicket of Tristan Stubbs as India won the match by 7 runs in the end.
Pant, who made his comeback to international cricket with the bat, showed terrific wicket-keeping prowess and grabbed 2 best fielder medals throughout the tournament. Pant looked elated and shared a picture of him with the winner's medal on July 3, Wednesday.
"This medal hits you differently," wrote Pant in the social media post.
In reply, Axar said, "Bhai same mere pass bhi hai (Brother, even I have the same one with me,)" said Axar in the comments section.
The Indian team is set to reach Delhi on July 4, Thursday after a slight delay in plans. The Indian team has been dealing with Hurricane Beryl in Barbados. Earlier, the Men in Blue was supposed to come on Wednesday evening, but the plan got a bit delayed. As per the reports by India Today, the team will now reach directly to New Delhi where they are likely to meet the Prime Minister.
Talking about the winners of the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team managed to end their title drought after clinching the T20 World Cup 2024 title as they outplayed South Africa in the finals. Earlier, the Men in Blue had to settle for the runners-up tag in back-to-back finals of the major tournaments.
