As part of its Consulate's effort to help Indian students in its jurisdiction, the Consulate General of India in New York has launched a platform for Indian Students to find internship opportunities at companies in the USA. Steps to apply are shared below.

Several companies and organisations have agreed to consider deserving Indian students for internship opportunities. "Students are advised to apply directly to the companies as per the details provided in the portal. It may please be noted that the Consulate has no role in selection for internship nor is it responsible for the same." reads the notice on the website

The students can opt for internships at an Investment banking company, IT, Finance, Automotive company, Science and Technology, Healthcare, Government Agency, Hotel, Multinational corporation and technology, Hotel, E-commerce, Online servive provider, public, corporation, Banking, Aviation, AI, Law firm, Technology, Pharma, Non Profit etc.

Here's How You Can Apply for the Internship

Go to the official website - indiainnewyork.gov.in
On the homepage, click on Student Internships
Select the sector in which you wish to work
The company's name will be displayed
Select "Apply"
Fill the application form
Submit and take a printout

The Consulate has also released a list of doctors who have agreed to assist Indian students enrolled in 10 states in USA with psychiatry counseling and other consultations (including via telemed if needed). Apart from this, a list of attorneys have been released if the members of the community may want to reach out directly with the Consulate General’s reference
