NEET 2024 News LIVE: A month after declaration of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2024 results, the controversy is gaining momentum. Multiple petitions have been filed raising concerns over the fairness of the procedure adopted by the NTA. The students and student union are demanding cancellation of exam due to paper leak allegations. Amidst demands from students for NEET Cancellation, Education Ministry conducted a press conference to address concerns regarding exams conducted by National Testing Agency.

Ever since release of results, many of the pleas filed in Supreme Court have already been heard by the vacation bench. The Supreme Court bench of CJI DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra will hear batch of petitions challenging the alleged malpractices and irregularities in the NEET 2024 examination on July 8.

NEET Re-test was conducted on June 23 for over 1500 candidates who were offered grace marks due to loss of time during May 5 exam. The petitions filed before the top court alleges that NTA NEET UG 2024 was riddled with malpractices as various instances of paper leaks came to light. The Supreme Court has rejected plea seeking postponement of NEET Counselling. In other words, NEET UG Counselling is likely to begin on July 6, 2024.
