Inside Out 2 continues to rule the US box office, collecting a total of $57.4 million in the domestic market. in the meantime, new release A Quiet Place: Day One is keeping up at second spot with record franchise opening. Horizon: An American Saga—Chapter 1 is however struggling to keep pace.
Inside Out 2 is performing better than A Quiet Place: Day One
Inside Out 2 has kept its foothold as numero uno at the US box office even in its third week of release. Standing strong at $57.4 million, Pixar's beloved animation has taken over new releases like A Quiet Place: Day One and Horizon: An American Saga—Chapter 1.
Inside Out 2, which released on June 14, saw a 30 per cent jump from Friday to Saturday, keeping its top spot at the theatres. Paramount's apocalyptic horror film had more reasons to celebrate. The movie crossed the $1 billion mark in global ticket sales in a record time for an animated film, that is, in 19 days.

In the meantime, A Quiet Place: Day One, which released on June 28, has so far made $53 million, much above the previous two films - A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place Part II (2020).
A Quiet Place: Day One is the third installment in the A Quiet Place franchise. It is also a spin-off and a prequel to the series, starring Lupita Nyong'o as a terminally ill woman. The film is set in the beginning stages of an invasion by extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing in New York City. It also features Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou, who reprises his role from the second film.

Inside Out 2, on the other hand, is a sequel to Inside Out (2015). It tells the story of Riley's emotions that are joined by a new set of emotions with an aim to take over the protagonist's head. While Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan reprise their roles from the first film, Maya Hawke, Kensington Tallman, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Paul Walter Hauser have joined the cast this time.
Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga—Chapter 1, however seems to be struggling. Upon its release on June 28, clashing with A Quiet Place: Day One, it has been able to collect only $11 million.
