The Suit Review: A Taxing Affair!

The core plot of The Suit revolves around the issue of how childhood trauma affects the life of a person in his adulthood. The rest of the sequences in the film, other than those connected with the core plot, are like the buttons that hardly have any practical purpose on a suit.

As mentioned earlier, The Suit in the film has metaphorical value. In so far as the story is concerned, the movie heavily revolves around two characters - Saniha and Kamal. The female lead, Saniha, is an artist and Kamal, a gentleman who is in love with her. Surprisingly, someone has been stealing Saniha's paintings! Who has been stealing the paintings and why? The film The Suit gives you the answers.

Apart from the average writing and making of The Suit, the poor performances of newcomers make this film a taxing affair. A simple message that the makers wish to convey has been told in a complicated fashion by repeating it over several times. As a result, the message loses its essence.

A two-minute short story makes for far greater impact than a two-hour film that goes round and round in circles.

Needless to say, The Suit as a film fails to impress.
