Chennai DRM Announces July Cancellations for MEMU Express Trains | DETAILS

Chennai: The DRM, Chennai, on Saturday announced a full and partial cancellation of MEMU Express train services for the entire July. In an official statement, the authority stated that as a part of ongoing Engineering works, Line Block/Power Block is permitted in Guntakal Division of South Central Railway from July 1 to July 31. It also mentioned that the decision has been taken in view of safety of passenger and train operations.

“According to priority to Passenger Safety and Safety of train operations, as a part of ongoing Engineering works, Line Block/Power Block is permitted in Guntakal Division of South Central Railway from 01st to 31st July 2024. Consequently, the following are the changes in the pattern of MEMU Express train services,” read the official note.

1. Train No: 07659, Tirupati - Katpadi MEMU Express Special, leaving Tirupati at 06:50 hrs is FULLY CANCELLED from 01st to 31st July 2024.

2. Train No: 07582, Katpadi - Tirupati MEMU Express Special, leaving Katpadi at 21:15 hrs is FULLY CANCELLED from 01st to 31st July 2024.

3. Train No: 06417, Katpadi - Jolarpettai MEMU Express Special, leaving Katpadi at 09:30 hrs is FULLY CANCELLED from 01st to 31st July 2024.

4. Train No: 06418, Jolarpettai - Katpadi MEMU Express Special, leaving Jolarpettai at 12.45 hrs is FULLY CANCELLED from 01st to 31st July 2024.

1. Train No: 16853, Tirupati - Villupuram Express, leaving Tirupati at 13:40 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Tirupati and Katpadi from 01st to 31st July 2024.

2. Train No: 16854, Villupuram - Tirupati Express, leaving Villupuram at 05:35 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Katpadi and Tirupati from 01st to 31st July 2024.
