Ghaziabad: 4 Killed, 18 Severely Hurt After Truck Hits Canter On Eastern Peripheral Expressway

During the collision, 35 people were present in the canter of which, nine were seriously injured. They were all referred to the GTB Hospital for treatment.

Ghaziabad: At least four people died while many others got injured after a truck hit them late in night on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. The incident took place at around 1:30 am late Saturday night near Rewada Rewari police station, Muradnagar. The truck was going towards Hardoi from Haryana's Sonipat was carrying brick kiln workers. Most of the workers are said to be from Hardoi and Shahjahanpur.

According to information, the truck hit the stationary canter killing four people and injuring 18 others. The injured included Maya Devi (45), Irshad (20), Jumman (60), and Shabina (20). People had got down to urinate when the truck coming from behind hit them.

On Friday, a tragic road accident took place in Seethanapalli Village, Kruthivennu Mandal, resulting in the deaths of six people and leaving five others injured. The accident occurred on Friday, when a mini truck attempted to overtake a tractor carrying wooden logs. While overtaking, the mini truck collided with a container lorry, leading to the crash.

According to Machilipatnam Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Subhani, five individuals died instantly on the spot. Another victim succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital. The condition of five people who were injured in the accident remains critical.
