The Rouse Avenue Court on Monday dismissed an application filed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, seeking additional meetings with his lawyers through video conferencing. This is the second thime the court has dismissed the Delhi CM's application seeking an increase in the number of his legal meetings.
Earlier, during the hearing of Kejriwal's petition, Judge Kaveri Baweja noted that the application did not specify the grounds for the request, which had previously been denied by the court.
The judge advised Kejriwal's counsel to withdraw the application and refile it with additional grounds. However, when the counsel refused to do so, the court decided to reserve its order.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) also opposed Kejriwal's application. Kejriwal argued that he needed the additional meetings to consult with his lawyers on approximately 30-35 ongoing litigations.
