Noida: A recent viral video featuring an engineer from Delhi NCR has stirred widespread concern over soaring real estate prices in Noida. Kashish Chhibber, known as "Witty Engineer" on Instagram, highlighted the exorbitant costs of apartments in the city, particularly at the upcoming ATS Knightsbridge development in Sector 124.
In the video, Chhibber expressed disbelief at the staggering price tags, revealing that a 4-bedroom apartment at ATS Knightsbridge is priced at ₹15 crore. He compared this to other developments in Greater Noida, such as Supertech Supernova and ACE Golfshire, where prices range significantly but remain steep by local standards.
“I was looking to purchase properties in Greater Noida. Besides ATS Knightsbridge, I also checked Supertech Supernova which starts from 75 lakh for 1BHK and goes till 5 crores for 4BHK,” the man told Hindustan Times.
The issue has not been confined to social media, as it has resonated on X platform as well, attracting over a million views. Users on X expressed dismay over the escalating real estate costs in Noida, drawing parallels to the unaffordable housing market in Delhi.
Responding to criticisms of inflated pricing, some users on X defended the ATS Knightsbridge project, citing its luxury features and expansive apartment sizes.
ATS Knightsbridge, according to its website, promises "uber-luxurious apartments" with amenities such as a swimming pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, and a dedicated concierge service. The project is marketed as a prestigious development situated between Delhi and Noida.
The ongoing debate underscores growing concerns among middle-class Indians about the affordability of housing in Noida, raising questions about the accessibility of quality living spaces in rapidly developing urban areas.
