Delhi Man Hit With Iron Rod, Stabbed In Neck By 3 For Not Buying Grocery From Them

A 30-year-old man, Vikram Kumar, was fatally assaulted by a grocery shop owner and his sons in Delhi's Shakarpur area on June 30. The dispute arose after Vikram's family stopped buying from the shop, leading to a deadly confrontation.

New Delhi: A 30-year-old man was fatally attacked with an iron rod and stabbed with a scissor by a grocery shop owner and his sons for allegedly not buying from their store in the national capital's Shakarpur area. Police said that the incident happened on June 30 and the deceased has been identified as Vikram Kumar, reported PTI.

The accused Lokesh Gupta was detained for murder along with his two sons, Priyansh and Harsh.

"Gupta owns a grocery shop. Vikram's family used to be one of his regular customers. Due to various disagreements, the family stopped purchasing food from Gupta's store around a month ago. This infuriated them, and they got into a fight on Sunday night at around ten o'clock," a senior police officer said.

The officer went on to say that during the fight, Gupta and his sons hit Vikarm on the head with an iron rod and stabbed him in the neck, which led to his death, the report said.

In another incident, two bike-borne men opened fire on a car in the Dabri neighborhood of Dwarka, Delhi. The police said that although the gunshot was intended for an individual, it instead struck a nearby car. According to the authorities, on June 29, at about 6:42 PM, information regarding the event was received at the Dabri Police Station.

Police claimed that the person they targeted and the accused had old enmity. Police have registered a case under the relevant sections and are currently investigating the matter.
